Getting There

Passport & Visas
All visitors require a valid Australian passport with at least 6 months longer than you intended stay in the USA. All travellers eligible to visit the US under the Visa Waiver program must now obtain approval before they travel through the US’s Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA). ESTA is an online system run by the US government, determining the preliminary eligibility of visitors to travel under the Visa Waiver Program, prior to setting out. All visitors must hold tickets and documents for their return or onward journey.
Currency & Credit Cards
Hawaii’s currency is the US dollar. Please note that major credit cards can be used at all major resorts and the prices at all resorts will be in US dollars.
Weather
The weather in Hawaii is usually picture perfect: sunlit days, breezy nights, balmy mornings, and iridescent sunsets, with only minor changes in temperature throughout the year. There are only 2 seasons in Hawaii: Summer which is May – October & Winter which is November – April. The average summer temperature is approx. 29 degrees & the winter temperature is 25 degrees.
What to Wear
It is warm in Hawaii, so pack your summer attire. The temperature does not drop very much at night so take your lightest weight clothes, in natural, breathable fabrics such as silk, linen or cotton. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater for the evenings. Temperatures soar during the day, so it is essential that you take an extremely high factor sunscreen to be safe and a wide brimmed hat is also a good idea.
Electricity:
Hawaii is on the standard US 110-volt 60 cycle current, and plugs feature regular two flat prongs. It is recommended that you take an adaptor for appliances and this would be best purchased before leaving home.
